The Golden Circle is Iceland’s most famous attraction. This tour has three main stops: Geysir, Gullfoss, and Þingvellir. Additional suggested stops are Friðheimar Greenhouse or KeridCrater—available upon request. First, you will visit the geothermal area of Haukadalur Valley where the Strokkur aka Geysir is located. The Geysir shoots boiling water up to 30 meters high in the air every 5-10 minutes, and you can find various kinds of hot springs and mud pits around the area. After a short drive from the geothermal area, we will visit the Gullfoss Waterfall. The powerful Golden Waterfall falls 32 meters into the Hvita River. Returning to ReykjavÃk, we will stop at Þingvellir National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site. The Þingvellir National Park is located in a valley, where the American and Eurasian tectonic plates are drifting apart from each other and also where the first Icelandic parliament was established in 930.
The departure is 9 a.m. from the hotel.
