This peninsula is the youngest part of Iceland, and it is located along the Mid-Atlantic rift, where the Eurasian and the North American tectonic plates are drifting apart. When you are on this tour, you will visit the bridge between the continents where you can see this drift. Since the peninsula is the main geothermal area of Reykjanes, we will stop by the mud pools of Gunnuhver and Krysuvik, and we will visit the Blue Lagoon area for a short walk.
The departure is 9 a.m. from the hotel.
